Yoga for Every Body! We invite you to your neighborhood yoga studio to engage in classes that serve all types of students. We have open yoga sessions along with pre-natal, mommy/baby, teen yoga and more. Some classes include meditation and essential oils to add to the experience. We provide personalized service in a calm and spacious studio in the heart of the Bowery. Owner Jean Koerner is an experienced yoga teacher and has been teaching for 25 years. Jean’s inspiring, well rounded classes are accessible to students of all levels. They include a combination of breath based movement and longer holding poses as well as pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. Jean clearly and articulately guides students through the poses while infusing the class with yoga philosophy and concepts. Formerly a co-owner of Be Yoga Studios in Manhattan, Jean developed teacher training programs for two major yoga studios, Yoga Works and Be Yoga. Jean opened Bowery Yoga in November 2016 with the intention to build a sustainable community that nurtures the individual and supports the development of our highest selves. Named after the community we love, our space is open to all. Easy access from Broadway/Lafayette or 2nd Ave Stations.
